Eileen O. Evelyn

Eileen Olive Rousseau-Evelyn, 85, of Gulfport passed away on Wednesday, September 25th, 2013 at Suncoast Hospice Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was born on May 15,1928 in Arima, Trinidad to the late Harold and Audrey (Lezama) Rousseau. Eileen was a Registered Nurse (RN) from Pennsylvania and moved to Florida in the 80's with her late husband after he retired and continued working as RN. Mummy Eileen as many called her was best known for being a resilient woman, an enthusiastic reader, an avid gardener, and most importantly enjoying spending time with her family. She was a strong advocate of education and believed that the mind is kept strong by learning. Eileen is survived by her daughter Charmaine Carvalho (Emanuel) of West Norriton, Pa, Wayne Evelyn (Jennifer) of Miami, Fl, Robert Evelyn (Wanda) of Rio Grande, New Jersey, Keith Evelyn (Jan) of Gulfport, Fl. She is survived by her 12 grandchildren: Renee (Carvalho) Little, Natasha Carvalho, Elizabeth Carvalho - Iacovino, Shawnequa Carvalho, Tiffany (Carvalho) DaCruz, Danielle Evelyn, Exzabrial Evelyn, Khaleah Evelyn, Karin (Evelyn) Paida, Robert Evelyn Jr., Nicholas Evelyn, Giselle (Evelyn) Anderson. Additionally, Eileen was blessed to have 21 great-grand children. Siblings Malcolm (Barbara) Rousseau, Gerald (Irma) Rousseau, Phyllis (William) Jackson and Herman (Heather) Rousseau, also survived by nieces and nephews. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Horace Evelyn, brothers Gerald Rousseau, Herman Rousseau, and great-grand children Angelica Carvalho-Iacovino, Michealangelo Carvalho-Iacovino, Abigail Carvalho- Iacovino, and Samir Stallings. Relatives & friends are invited to Eileen's Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10AM in the Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 5800 15th Avenue South, Gulfport FL 33707. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Suncoast Hospice Care Center South Pinellas Bayfront Medical Center 701 6th Street South St. Petersburg, 33701. David C.
