June 10th, 1935 - September 19th, 2011
Marcia Israel, age 76, of Las Vegas, died Monday, September 19, 2011. Marcia was born June 10, 1935 in Durban, South Africa to the late Joseph and the late Leah Eagle. Marcia worked as a beautician for a while, but was primarily a woman of tzedakah. She was very active with Magen David Adom and UJF in Johannesburg and the Rotary in Brakpan. She also knitted items for children as well as penguins that were affected by the oil spill. Marcia is survived by her husband of 51 years, Derrick Israel; children Sydney (Kim) Israel of Las Vegas and Rachelle (Sydney) Rosin of San Diego; and grandchildren Samuel and Kayley Israel of Las Vegas and Ashton and Darrah Rosin of San Diego. A graveside service will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA. Donations in Marcia's memory may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
