Gerald "Jerry" Spielberg, 87, of Las Vegas, passed away Nov. 23, 2012. He was born Jan. 11, 1925, in New York, NY. Jerry had been a resident of Nevada since 1991 and was a member of the Sun City Volunteer Security Patrol for 10 years. A veteran of the Korean War, he was very involved in Post 21 of the Jewish War Veterans having served as Commander for three terms. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, of 60 years, Miriam Spielberg; daughters, Lori and Donna Spielberg; sister, Adele Siegel; niece, Lynda Siegel; son in-law, Evan Chesler; and grandsons, Calvin and Kenneth Chesler.  Funeral service will be at 10 a.m.,Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Kraft Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, 89147. Graveside will follow at Noon, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City. Family and friends may also pay respects from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Willow Creek Assisted Living, 3890 N Buffalo Drive, Las Vegas. Donations can be made in Jerry's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
