Madalen "Roberts" Elaine Jones

Madalen Elaine (Roberts) Jones, 89, of Largo, passed away March 20, 2013. Madalen was born in Yoe, PA on May 25, 1923 to George and Alberta Shenberger. She went to four years of Bible College in Brooklyn, NY. Madalen was married to Fred Roberts in 1957 and together, they served as missionaries in the Bible Christian Union. They also co-founded White Oak Bible Camp in Woolford, MD, a summer Bible camp for children. Madalen moved to Bradenton after Fred's passing, where she continued her missionary work in retirement. She met a fellow missionary, Ken Jones, and were married a short time later. Madalen was a devoted Christian and loving wife & mother. Her wisdom and sweet disposition will be greatly missed. Madalen is survived by her loving son, Dr. Joel (Debbie) Roberts; grandchildren, Julie Lashbrook, Jarrad Sullivan, and Jeremy Roberts; and four great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from Noon - 1 PM Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the David C. Gross Funeral Home, 830 N. Belcher Road, Clearwater, FL 33765, where services will begin at 1 PM. Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park in Largo. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Belcher Road Chapel in Clearwater is serving the family. Service Information
