Simon "Shimon" Gerald Horwitz

Simon Gerald Horwitz, age 85, of Las Vegas, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Jerry, one of seven children, was born May 16, 1927 in Elmira, NY to the late Solomon and the late Leah Horwitz. He served in the Navy during World War II. Jerry owned and managed a paper company. He was an incredible life force: photographer, oldest working national ski patrolman, published author and business person. Most of all, he was a man who loved his family. Jerry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Edith Horwitz; children Sue (Steven Cunningham) Horwitz of Los Angeles CA and Martha Horwitz-Eskesen of Denver CO; and grandson Alan James Cunningham.
