Helena Rena Chiefa
March 14th, 1928 - November 27th, 2011
Helena Rena Chiefa (nee Rando) passed away at Weinberg Village in Tampa, FL on Sunday, November 27, 2011 after losing her bout with pancreatic cancer at the age of 83. Helena was born in Patterson, NJ and moved to Florida with her husband Salvatore Chiefa and their children, Cynthia and David in 1970. She retired from the Broward County School Board as a confidential administration secretary in the early 1990s. Helena, who until recently remained in Broward county, was an avid cook, and spent time with her grandchildren Jason Goldstein in Tampa and Rayne & Maya Chiefa in Colorado. She is survived by her children Cynthia Chiefa-Goldstein & Dr. David Chiefa and their respective spouses Hazzan Paul D. Goldstein & Krista Chiefa; and her grandchildren Jason, Rayne, and Maya. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to attorney Cynthia I. Chiefa, 16601 Ivy Lake Drive, Odessa, FL 33556 to be placed in a trust for the screening of Helena's grandchildren for pancreatic cancer. Memorial services will be held for Helena in Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale, and New Jersey. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Belcher Road Chapel in Clearwater is serving the family. Service Information
