Irene Elizabeth Donley March 1, 1929 – October 11, 2022 Irene Elizabeth Donley, 93, peacefully passed away in Denver, Colorado on October 11, 2022. Irene was born in the country near Jerusalem, Ohio to parents Kathryn (Swallie) and Roy Stephens. She grew up in St. Clairsville, OH and married her high school sweetheart Sherman Donley in 1949. Sherman and Irene moved to Denver, CO in 1954. Irene loved her role as mother and homemaker. She raised 2 children, Patricia and Richard and opened her home to over 30 foster children. She loved to sew, crochet, read and garden. She was a cancer survivor. Irene is survived by her daughter, Patricia; son Richard (Cynde); grandaughter Amber (Ed LaVache); grandson Kael (Sarah); and three great grandchildren: Grace, Logan and Eloise. A private family memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The American Cancer Society
