Nancy E. Sellars

Nancy E. Sellars Nancy (Gunnerson) Sellars was born on July 10, 1952, in Denver, Colorado. She gained her angel wings on January 7, 2023 surrounded by all of her loving family at her side. Nancy is one of six children of P.K. and Darlene Gunnerson. Nancy married Joe Sellars in 1971, later divorce, but remained the best of friends. Nancy held many rolls throughout her 70 years such as a homemaker, day care provider, girl scout leader, fisherman, EMT, board member of PTL and Hidden Lake Little League. Her greatest joy was being a mom, grandma and great-grandma. She was known to many as "Nanny" and was a second "mom" to any and all neighborhood kids. Nancy loved to be silly and ensure other's felt involved in any activity - oftentimes at her own expense. She loved her time spent with family at the Gunnerson cabins in Wyoming; where she was a pro at rock-hopping and making a blade of grass whistle. She loved her oldies music-particularly John Denver and of course Elvis. Her favorite hobbies included crafts of any kind, sewing, woodworking and yard work (specifically pulling weeds). Nancy was always at her happiest when she was helping others. She never met a stranger and would strike up conversation with anyone to put a smile on their face. Nancy is survived by her three children, Paula (Jeff) Bowie, Jeremy (Melanie) Sellars, Karen Sellars; her grandchildren, Nathan (Kim), Kayla, Elyse, Josh, Taylor, Juliana, Brooklyn, Adisyn and Jaxson; her great-grandchildren, Fallon, Payton, Jordan and Christopher; her brothers, Eric and Bryon and her sisters, Linda and Gretchen. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Greg. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
