All-States Cremation - Wheat Ridge
Caroline Jean Schultz
August 15th, 1937 - March 16th, 2023
Caroline Jean Schultz August 15, 1937 ~ March 16, 2023 Caroline Schultz, of Broomfield, Colorado, passed away on March 16, 2023, after a lengthy illness. Caroline is survived by her sister, Judy Liedike (Dori Anderson), her children: Sarah Ellis, Scott Schultz (Nuch), Pete Schultz and Sami Luif (John). Caroline has eight grandchildren: Kellie, Jamey, Jessica, Carmen, Peaw, Justin, Chloe, and Naomi; six great-grandchildren: Kyler, Kamden, Kayla, Ricky, Elias, and Deacon, and numerous other friends and relatives, and her precious pup and companion, Baxter. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Bill Schultz, and her parents. Born in 1937 to Eloise and Howard Liedike in Denver, Colorado, Caroline was a proud Colorado native. She grew up in North Denver, attending the same high school as her mother, North Denver High School, and lived in the same area until 1973, when she moved with her family to Broomfield, Colorado. Caroline received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She had a variety of careers over her lifetime, from small acting parts at a theater at Lakeside, lifeguard, elevator operator at the former Daniels & Fisher tower, bartender, UPS delivery driver, and dispatcher for Stericycle. She also was a homemaker and an entrepreneur who managed several small sales opportunities while raising her children. Caroline spent many years volunteering in her community as a Broomfield Police Department victim advocate, and as a probation officer through the Jefferson County District Court, as well as serving for 16 years as a church school superintendent for Arvada United Methodist Church. After her retirement, Caroline often referred to herself as a “recluse,” yet she befriended those that she met whether it be the mail carrier, her wonderful neighbors, or those kind enough to deliver Meals on Wheels or run small errands for her. She was an animal lover and an avid reader who kept up with current events and social media, and who especially enjoyed quiet days at home with her puppy dog. Caroline was a loving sister, parent and grandparent who was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all as her memory carries forward. Her family will come together to fulfill her final wish of having her ashes spread in the mountains at a future date. No funeral service will be held.
