James Joseph Johnston, 74 of St. Petersburg. Born in Nashua, Montana he came to this area in 1973 from Newington. Connecticut. He was an inventor in electronics. Survivors include his son, James; daughters, Marijayne Johnston, Jeannie Dawes, Susan Edwards, Lori Pitts; brothers, Chuck, Mike, Barry; sisters, Cathy Holton, Andrea Dobbs. five grandchildren. A private cremation is planned. David C. Gross Funeral Home is serving the family. Service Information
