Nathan L. Belkin Ph.D 83 of Largo passed away Monday, February 22, 2010. Born in St Louis Mo, Dr. Belkin came here in 1979 from Huntington NY. He retired in 1991 following a 40 year career in textiles used in healthcare and industrial applications. He published over 100 articles in clinical journals. A Jewish War Veteran, he was lifetime member of the DAV and received a purple heart and bronze star for service during World War II. He was also a Hadassah Associate. Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years Elaine; loving children Joseph (Judy) Belkin, Rebecca (Barry) Rosenstein, Deborah (Edward) Shapiro, Ruth (Stanley) Hoffman, Wendy Belkin; cherished grandchildren Simmie (Ronen) Hefetz, Dina (Aaron) Saks, Benjamin Shapiro, Naomi Hoffman & great-grandchildren Joshua & Gabriella Saks & Eliana & Maya Hefetz. Graveside services will be 10AM Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, 12905 Wild Acres Rd. Largo. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Hadassah, Hospice or the charity of your choice. David C. Gross Funeral Home is serving the family. Service Information
