December 4th, 1917 - June 29th, 2009
He was 92 and born in Bangor, Maine, the eldest son of Fannie Alpert Cohen and Robert Cohen, and the brother of Max Cohen and the late George Cohen (Carla). He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Theresa Meth Cohen. Edward practiced law in Bangor, Maine, for 41 years. He was a founding partner of Cohen & Cohen and a member of many civic and professional organizations. He is survived by his children, Melanie I. Rauch (Michael), of Cranbury, New Jersey; Stuart M. Cohen (Anne Warner), of Dixmont, Maine. Other family members include grandchildren, Jeremy Rauch (Jessica) and Jennifer Rauch; great grand daughter, Leah Rauch; brother and sister-in-law, Max Cohen (Natalie); nieces, Elaine Siegel, Lisa Cohen Lunn, Gail Weiss, and Ruth Cohen; nephew and law partner, Barry A. Cohen. A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date.
