Wesley Alfred Baird, Jr, age 73, of Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014. Wesley was born August 14, 1941 in Guyana. He worked in gold mining and as a customs agent in Guyana, before moving to the United States in 1992. Wesley settled in Queens NY and worked in loss prevention. He moved to Las Vegas in 1997 and continued to work in loss prevention. Wesley enjoyed weight lifting and was a professional keno player. He is survived by his two sons Kean Baird of New York and Tyson Baird of Las Vegas; grandson Alfred Baird; siblings Andy Baird, Douglas Baird, Dawn Baird, Patsy Baird, and many other siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews. A visitation will take place from 1:00-3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 5, with a funeral beginning at 3:00 PM, both at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV.
