Thomas "Tom" Daniel Griego

Thomas "Tom" Griego, 66 years old, passed away on February 21, 2024 He was born on September 14, 1957 to Chris and Alice Griego. Tom, the most loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda; siblings: Sandy Griego McLeod, and Dave Griego; children: Ryan and Hilary Griego, and Laura and Brian Heaton; grandchildren: Austyn and Michelle Griego, Cody Griego, Bryan Thomas Heaton, and Lincoln Griego; great grandchild: Ayden Thomas Griego; his nephew Clayton McLeod; his faithful dogs: Koda and Maddy; and his best friends: Ben Lopez, and Jeff Greaser. He came from a Military family and they traveled around before settling in Denver where he was introduced to his soon to become wife. He eventually had 2 kids. He was a massive sports fan. Rooting on all of Denver sports teams. He played football in high school at Kubasaki High School in Okinawa Japan and played basketball and softball as an adult. He enjoyed watching his son play football and daughter play softball and volleyball. He attended all of his grand kids football and baseball games. He was also an umpire for competitive girls softball. Tom had the personality and natural charisma to make friends no matter the situation, and his laugh was infectious to everyone around him. He loved all of his friends and he had a lot of them. Whether it was going out after work for a beer or riding alongside his best friends Ben and Jeff on his motorcycle. He was willing to lend a helping hand or words of encouragement. His sense of humor will be missed by many. Tom was a truly great man whose impact will be forever felt by his family, who loved him dearly. He was a selfless man whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of his loved ones. His ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive, and love will be forever engrained in all he knew.
