June 17th, 1944 - February 3rd, 2015
Michael Goodman, 70, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on February 3, 2015 in MountainView Hospital. Michael was born in Brooklyn, NY to Lillian & Samuel Goodman on June 17, 1944. He went to Tilden H.S. and graduated in 1962, then volunteered for the draft and served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a NYC policeman for 20 years & received accolades for his service. He enjoyed sports, traveling, golden oldies, helping animals, & spending time with his family. Michael is survived by his wife, Rita Goodman & his daughter, Lisa Goodman; as well as his cat, Wack & dog, Zha Zhy. Funeral service & burial will be held on February 13, 2015 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, NV, with Rabbi Herschel Brooks officiating. Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services will be handling the funeral arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Best Friends Animal Society (bestfriends.org), 5001 Angel Canyon Road Kanab, UT 84741.
