Esther Brown Lochner, age 97, of Las Vegas, died Sunday, February 15, 2015. Esther was born September 6, 1917 in Moline, IL to the late Morris and the late Fanny Brown. Esther earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Dubuque, then earned an advanced degree in Dental Hygiene from Northwestern University. After working in the dental field, she worked in a family retail business with her husband, Lowell, before retiring to Las Vegas in the mid 1980's. Esther enjoyed reading and playing cards and table games. She is survived by her children Ann (Gerard) Iwantsch of Bedford NY and Richard Lochner of Mentor MN; grandchildren Adam Iwantsch, Rebecca (Esteban) Roman, Peter Lochner, Abigail (Jason) Bettini and Samantha (Neil) Otto; and great granddaughter Kaia Roman. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lowell Lochner. A funeral service will be held at 9:20 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Esther's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
