LeEtta Marie Oskarson ran into the loving arms of Jesus on March 20, 2020. She was surrounded by her four loving children. Born LeEtta Reinecker in Eads, Colo., on Feb. 27, 1938, her passions included music and reading. LeEtta could often be found playing the piano and she enjoyed singing in her church’s choir for many years. LeEtta graduated from the University of Denver in 1961 with a business degree. She married Carl Gunnar Oskarson on February 11, 1962. She was an active member of the service organization PEO and served many years on the Edgewater Planning and Zoning Board. She was a school secretary for Jefferson Public Schools for many years. LeEtta was a longtime member of Lakewood United Methodist Church and attended Broomfield United Methodist Church in recent years. She was a proud grandmother and could often be found at her grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. LeEtta also was a huge Colorado sports fan but she was especially fond of the DU Hockey program and the Denver Broncos as she was a season ticket holder for many years. LeEtta also loved the performing arts and attended many concerts at the Denver Brass and the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. LeEtta was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Leland Reinecker, her husband Carl Gunnar Oskarson and her granddaughter Faith Maria Hoge. She is survived by: two siblings Mary Sue Woodrick and husband Phil of Loveland, Colo., and Norman Reinecker and wife Beverly of Torrington, Wyo; and her four children: Charles Oskarson and wife Linda of Lakewood, Colo., Michael Oskarson of Dacono, Colo., Mark Oskarson and wife Tonya of Buford, Ga., and Kristen Oskarson of Brighton, Colo. The loves of her life were her grandchildren: Hunter and Cody Oskarson of Dacono, Colo.; Evan and Reese Oskarson of Buford, Ga.; Colt and Truitt Hoge of Brighton, Colo.; Dillon Bakas of Lakewood, Colo., and Robyn Bakas and fiancée Ross Steward of Ft. Collins, Colo. Due to the Coronavirus restrictions, a celebration of LeEtta’s life service is tentatively scheduled for late summer. If you are interested in attending, please contact Tonya Oskarson at [email protected] and we will be in touch with the date and location of the service once it has been established. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family asks you to please consider a donation in LeEtta’s name to the Broomfield United Methodist Church (https://giving.ncsservices.org/App/Giving/broomfieldumc) or another charity of your choice.
