Charles Raymond Reed
November 17th, 1944 - January 5th, 2010
Charles R. (Chuck) Reed, 65, of Melbourne passed away, suddenly on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Wuesthoff Medical Center, Rockledge. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on November 17, 1944, son of James and Lucille Birmingham and Bill and Marie Reed. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Patti) Reed of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Suntree, Florida, daughter Patricia Bridge and grandson Maxwell of Pittsburgh, Pa., daughter Melissa Rimes and granddaughter Kylie of Pittsburgh, Pa., brother Bob Birmingham of Struthers, Ohio and Rockledge, Fl. He was the beloved son-in-law of Grace Byrne, Patti's mother, and will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Jack of Ohio and Indiana and sister Pauline (Kahn) of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Melbounre, Fl. Chuck served in Korea with the 304th. Signal Batallion of the U.S.Army. He was a member of the Viera Elks Lodge # 2817 and a Lifetime Member of the V.F.W. He was a Manufacturers Representative for 40 years, providing matererials for construction projects throughout Florida. Visitation will be Thursday , January 7, 2010 from 2-4Pm and 7-9 PM at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home 5400 Village Drive Viera. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 8, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society of American Heart Association.
