Joseph Francis Meehan III, 66, passed away peacefully at home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado with his family by his side on Monday, December 21, 2020. Joe was born in Pensacola, Florida on February 19, 1954 and was the son of the late Joseph F. Meehan II and Eileen Meehan. Joe is survived by his 10 siblings Joann Viega, Mary Farrell, Michael (Rebecca) Meehan, Jean (Fritz) Rote, Margie (Hank) Costa, Katie (Chad) Goss, Daniel (Dawn) Meehan, Matthew (Bonnie) Meehan, Brendan (Jana) Meehan and Eileen (Thom) Lutkenhouse. Joe was raised in Massapequa, New York and graduated from Saint Louis University. His career was in the Insurance Claims/Litigation field. He moved to Dunedin, Florida in 1989 where he enjoyed fishing, boating and watching Notre Dame Football. He moved to Colorado in 2013 and enjoyed hiking, camping and all the Rocky Mountains have to offer. He had immense pride in his family and Irish heritage and loved St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. His clever wit, gift of gab and fun loving spirit will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Joe leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Lisa and his sons Joseph (Jordan) and Edmond Meehan. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date
