Janice Langley Rogers

Obituary for Janice L. Rogers August 16, 2010 Janice Langley Rogers of Viera, Florida went to be with the Lord Monday, August 16, 2010. Janice was born in Ladonia, Texas to Hobart and Felicia Langley on September 18, 1930. She would have celebrated her 80th birthday in a few weeks. Janice and her husband, Claude Rogers, were married on September 4, 1949. They lived in Commerce, TX until 1995. During that time, Janice raised a family and worked for Commerce Public Schools in Commerce, TX. After moving to Florida in 1995, she worked in Human Resources for Brevard County Schools. Upon retiring, Janice enjoyed playing golf, traveling with her husband, volunteering at church and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her commitment to God and her family will continue to be a blessing for generations. Janice's family would like to thank all the medical staff who cared for her throughout the past few years at MIMA and Holmes Regional Medical Center. In particular, we thank Dr. Lee Scheinbart for his ever-present guidance and direction throughout this journey. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Langley. She is survived by her husband, Claude W. Rogers, with whom she would have celebrated 61 years of marriage on September 4. Mrs. Rogers is also survived by her daughters, Laura R. Harris (Bill) of Melbourne, FL and Beverly R. Marsh (Jack) of Boca Raton, FL along with their children, Zachary A. Harris and Rachel N. Marsh, three sisters, Helen Currin, Ann Wilmarth and Linda Masters, and one brother, William Langley. A memorial service to celebrate Janice's life on this earth will be held on Saturday, August 28 at 11:00am at The Church At Viera, located at 9005 N. Wickham Road, Viera with a reception following the service. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to The Church at Viera. Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive, Viera, is providing services to the family.
