Pege M. O'Toole
August 23rd, 1923 - January 1st, 2011
Pege O'Toole passed away, surrounded by her children, on Jan .1, 2011. Pege O'Toole long time resident of Cocoa Beach, was born in Archer City, TX Aug. 3, 1923. Daughter of Eugene and Lena Maxwell and was predeceased by one brother and sister. She attended Texas Tech. During World War II she held communication jobs. She met and married an Air Force pilot, Jerome T. O'Toole. They were stationed at 30 Bases. Col. O'Toole passed away in 1970. Pege was a member of Our Saviour Catholic Church and volunteered with St. Vincent De Paul Society for over 20 years. She also delivered Meals on Wheels and visited nursing homes with the Pink Ladies Aux. She also belonged to the Cocoa Beach Boating club and several bridge clubs in the area. Survivors include six children: Nickie Olson (John) of Fairhope, AL Mark O'Toole (Alice) of Kissimmee, FL Patrice Byerly (Daylon) of Orlando, FL Joe O'Toole (Mary Ann) of Denver, CO. Kevin O'Toole of Merritt Is, FL and Peter O'Toole (Quincy) of Eugene, OR. Also 15 grandchildren and one great. Services will be held at Our Saviours Church in Cocoa Beach on Jan. 8, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul at Our Saviours Church or Our Saviours Church.
