Johnson- Stanley Kenneth Jr. 67 of St. Petersburg passed away Monday May 30th, 2005 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital, South Pasadena. Born in Tacoma Park Maryland, he came here in 1994 from Falls Church Virginia where he served as the Chief of Police. He was an honorary past president of the Optimist Club, was a member of the Virginia Police Chiefs Association and was a graduate of the FBI Academy. An avid golfer, he served in the Navy and was Methodist. Survivors include his wife of 9 years Rosemary; two sons Jeffrey of Melbourne Beach FL and Anthony "Tony" of Gainsville Virginia; a daughter Kristina Nelson of Melbourne Fl; his mother Verna Johnson of Manassas Virginia; two brothers John of Gainesville Virginia and Sam of Manassas Virginia; a sister Diana Johnson of Falls Church Virginia and seven grandchildren. David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg, is serving the family. Friends will be received at the David C. Gross funeral Home on Sunday, June 5th from 6-8PM., where funeral services will be 10AM Monday. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Clearwater. The family suggests memorial donations to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. Service Information
