November 3rd, 1922 - May 20th, 2005
RAWL - Martha E., age 82, of St. Petersburg, passed away Friday, May 20, 2005 at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg. Born in Nutwell, Maryland, she came to Florida in 1948 from Deal, Maryland. She served in the US Army during WW II where she was trained as a registered nurse. Locally, she worked in area hospitals and nursing homes as a registered nurse and was a member of Pasadena Community Church in St. Petersburg. Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, James L. Rawl Sr.; three sons, James L. Jr of Bradenton, John, of St. Petersburg, and Hank, of Seminole; two daughters, Patricia Gruver of Gainesville, and Michelle Hager of Titusville; two sisters, Gene Dixon of Galesville,Maryland and Marjory Johnson of Deale, Maryland;eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Monday. Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday at David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, 6366 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, with Rev. Daniel Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Petersburg.
