FRED FOOTE Melbourne Frederick B. Foote, 75, died peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Fred was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut. He served proudly in the United States Air Force for 20 years where he traveled the world with his family. He then worked and retired from Omni Business Solutions and was owner of Crystal Clean Blinds here in Melbourne. He was a member of Suntree United Methodist Church. Through his whole life, he was an avid volleyball player where he played well into his 70s. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra, daughters, Debra (Russell) Wolfe and Diana (Mark) Doyle, grandchildren, Gage Doyle, Shelby and Marisa Wolfe. He is predeceased by his parents, Milton and Muriel, and his brother, Bob. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Suntree United Methodist Church. Fred was diagnosed in December 2009 with an acute form of pulmonary fibrosis, a rapidly advancing disease that eventually took his life. His kindness, gentleness and love of God, life and family will be forever remembered by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Fred's memory may be made to the American Lung Association or Hospice of St. Francis.
