September 5th, 1935 - August 24th, 2017
Philip Redisch 81 of Kenneth City passed away August 24, 2017. Phil was the owner of Phil’s Cabs, a division of Independent Taxi, St. Petersburg. Phil was a longtime member of Congregation B’nai Israel of St. Petersburg, where he served as past president of the congregation and was a member and past president of its men’s club. He was a member of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs, a volunteer at Menorah Manor and the Mahaffey Theater, a dedicated blood donor, and was a devoted longtime member of the Jewish Sacred Society (Hevra Kadisha). He was a two term city councilman for the municipality of Kenneth City. Survivors include his wife Joan, son Steven, daughters Hope and BethAnn, and sisters Rhoda Payne and Francine Miller. Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, August 25, 2017 at Congregation B’nai Israel, 300 58th Street North, St. Petersburg. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Largo. Donations in memory would be appreciated to Congregation B’nai Israel or Hospice. Shiva minyan Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 6:30 pm at the Redisch home, 5009 61st Lane North, Kenneth City, FL David C.
