William L. Hunt
October 6th, 1918 - June 11th, 2017
William L. "Bill" Hunt, beloved father and grandfather, peacefully passed away June 11, 2017, age 98 at his home in S. Pasadena, Fl. He was born Oct. 6, 1918 in Washington, DC to William L. Hunt and Elizabeth Miller Hunt. Bill graduated from Catholic University Law School, Washington DC in1939. His wife Dorothy Kraus Hunt of S. Pasadena FL and son Kenneth Hunt of Fairhaven MD predeceased him. He is survived by son William L. Hunt III (Judy) of Keswick VA and daughters Lynn Hennig (Gary) and Nancy Hunt of St. Petersburg FL and Joan Sabol (Stuart) of Wimberley TX. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Bill was an IRS Federal tax attorney in Washington, DC and later served as a foreign tax consultant to the State Dept. in Latin America before retiring to Treasure Island FL in 1972. His quick wit, wise counsel and great humor enriched many generations of family, friends and neighbors. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity for 72 years and an active member of the Gulf Beach Masonic Lodge, and for decades a dedicated member of the Gulf Beach Civitan Beach Club. He was an active golfer and longtime member of the St. Petersburg Country Club where in recent years he served as trusted paymaster. His church home was the Pasadena United Methodist Community Church. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 31st at Goodwin Chapel of Pasadena Community Church 227 70th St., South Pasadena, FL, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Shriners Hospital, Tampa, FL, Pasadena Community Church Building Fund, Gulf Beaches Historical Museum, or Suncoast Hospice. David C.
