Harvey S. Bernstein, 87, of St. Petersburg, passed away February 10, 2017. Harvey was born in Los Angeles, CA.was raised in Connecticut and moved to in Florida in the early 50's. He owned Abner's camera exchange on Central Ave which he sold upon retirement. A 50 year member of Kiwanis, Harvey loved to support children's charities, donate blood, play the drums, dance, boat, trade stocks and play with his pet dog Kami. He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly; daughter, Vicki (John) Locklair; brother, Jerome; grandchildren, Cailey (Fritz) Tolle and Kyle (Erin) Locklair; and great-grandson, Jordan. Harvey was pre-deceased by his son, Gary; and brother, Dick. Harvey had 4 step children, 11 step grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, February 13, at the David C. Gross Funeral Home, 6366 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Harvey's memory to Kiwanis. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel in St. Petersburg is serving the family. Service Information
