Mrs. Marthella Burrows, 89 of Palm Harbor, formerly of Bellevue OH, died Wedneday, August 31, 2016. She was born Sept. 18, 1926 in Gibsonburg, Ohio to Lawrence and Inez (Taylor) Mizer. Mrs. Burrows graduated from Bellevue High School in 1944 and Ohio Wesleyan College in 1948. Senora taught Spanish in Bellevue for over 26 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bellevue and in Lakeside; Eastern Star; NEA and OEA (teacher's associations). On June 20, 1948 she married James Burrows. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2011. Survivors include their children: Julia Johnson of Palm Harbor and James Jr. (Paula) Burrows of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren; and two sisters: Shirley (Wayne) Todd and Nancy (Ervin) Remaley, all of Bellevue. Visitation will be 4-6pm Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia Street, Bellevue. Eastern Star services will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday. Her funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, Sept. 13 at the funeral home with Rev. Justin Jump officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue City Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Bellevue High School Scholarship Association for a student pursuing a major in Spanish. David C.
