Beatrice “Bea” Wallace, 83, of St. Petersburg, passed away July 3, 2016. Bea was born in Brooklyn, NY and was a life member of both Congregation B'nai Israel in St. Petersburg as well as Hadassah. She is survived by her loving sons, Michael (Mavis) and Mark; and granddaughter, Alexandra Wallace. She is also survived by her extended family and friends in Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California and New York. Bea was predeceased by her beloved husband, Phillip and her faithful Jack Russell terrier “Lucky”. Bea was afflicted with polio as a child and despite her rough start as a child she enjoyed walks on the beach, dancing and tennis all activities she was told she could not do. Both Bea and Phil were involved in the local theater community where they both served at the St. Petersburg Little Theater for many years. She enjoyed travelling visiting foreign countries and cultures. Bea’s sculptures in clay are still on display and her creation “Simchat Torah” was featured in Hadassah magazine. Bea also started her own very successful giftware business. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, July 5th at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, 12905 Wild Acres Road, Largo. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Bea’s memory to Congregation B’nai Israel or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (https://www.alzfdn.org/). David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel in St. Petersburg is serving the family. Service Information
