It is with great sadness that the Sandler family announces the passing of Scott Sandler, 54 of Treasure Island on June 21st 2019. Scott was born in Bloomfield, Connecticut in 1965 to Jack and Diane Sandler. After growing up in Bloomfield, he graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1983. He then moved to Florida to attend the University of Tampa where he graduated with a Business Management degree in 1987. Scott started as a car salesman with the Courtesy Group. He quickly moved up the ladder in his industry because of his ambition, work ethic, and unmatched understanding of the psychology of sales. Scott was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Finance for Asbury, and recently placed on the corporate board. In his leisure time Scott enjoyed outdoor activities like jet-skiing in Florida and four wheeling in North Carolina. Scott was a loving father, husband, brother, son and friend. He is survived by his three sons Austin, Zachary, and Jacob Sandler, his mother Diane, his sister Tara, her partner Jennifer and his ex-wife Melanie. Scott spent the last few years embracing and enjoying life with his loving partner Leslie Crider. He will be fondly remembered by his many friends and colleagues. The lives Scott touched are forever changed. Scott Sandler will be missed. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations should be made to The American Heart Association in Honor of Scott Sandler. Memorial Service was at 1 PM on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at The Central Avenue Chapel in St. Petersburg. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel in St. Petersburg is serving the family.
