Barbara Nielsen, a resident of South Pasadena, Florida, for twelve years passed away peacefully on July 28, 2020. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she spent forty-five of the eighty years of her life in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She raised a fine son, Tom. Barb enjoyed leading elder aerobics groups. She loved people and was an outgoing, cheerful person who emphasized the good in life. Barbara is survived by her sister, Bonnie Nielsen Rickus of South Pasadena and her brother, Robert Warner Nielsen of Brookfield, New Hampshire. Her husband and son predeceased her. A private family ceremony will take place later this year in Connecticut. The care of Mrs. Nielsen and her family has been entrusted to David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg.
