On Friday, March 26, 2021, Elaine (Glass) Miller, loving wife and mother of 3 passed away at the age of 77. Elaine, originally from Revere, Ma was a nurse for over 40 years after receiving a nursing degree from Beth Israel Hospital School of Nursing, Boston and a BA from Lesley College. She proudly worked at Beth Israel Hospital as a nursing supervisor, the Milford Visiting Nurses Association in Milford, Ma, and the Gulf Coast Jewish Family Services here in Florida. In 1969, she married Israel (Butch) Miller and eventually moved to Milford, Ma where they lived and raised their three children Adam Miller, Amy Miller Repella and Sara Miller Rafferty for 20 years. Elaine and Butch relocated to the Clearwater area and have been living there for 24 years. Elaine was passionate about education and her community. She was PTO President, Chairwoman of the Milford School Committee, past President of the St. Petersburg Chapter of Hadassah and a member of Jewish Women International in North Pinellas County. She also belonged to Temple B'nai Israel Clearwater and the Temple’s sisterhood. She leaves behind her husband Israel (Butch) of 51 years and her three children, Adam Miller and his wife Michelle of Glencoe, IL. Amy Miller Repella and her husband Steven of Charlotte, NC and Sara Miller Rafferty and her husband Eric of Milford, Ma. She is also survived by her eight wonderful grandchildren, 2 sisters and sister in law and their husbands, with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Elaine’s greatest joy was her family and friends. Elaine said to Butch that she was not afraid to go, but was sorry to leave everyone… In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org/donate, or through the mail at 1500 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. The care of Mrs. Miller and her family has been entrusted to David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg.
