97, of St. Petersburg passed away on April 21, 2021. She was born in Danbury, Ct. and moved to St. Petersburg in 1960, where she worked at Bay Pines VA hospital for 25 years. After retirement she spent many years volunteering for Hospice, Hadassah and at Menorah Manor, and babysitting for her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Milton. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Thomas (Dan); grandchildren, Samantha Goldberg and Adam Thomas; great grandchildren, Avery, Harry, Harper, and Felix; sister in-law Lillian Begun; 3 nieces, Edra Bangert, Carol Wexler, and Beverly Levine. And a nephew Marc Goodman. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The care of Mrs. Smolowitz and her family has been entrusted to David C. Gross Funerl Home in St. Petersburg.
