All-States Cremation - Westminster
Richard "Rick" Carman
September 10th, 1940 - October 9th, 2023
Rick is survived by his wife Liz Carman, his daughter Katy. Unfortunately, he lost his son Rob previously which broke his heart. He is also survived by Stephen Harrison, Lisa (David) Ellsworth and DJ (Dana) Harrison, Grandchildren Patrick, Tucker and Harper Ellsworth and his sister Gretchen Palmer. Rick was born in Denver, Colorado on 9/10/1940 and raise by Barbara S. Severs and J. Lyndon Carman. He attended Cherry Creek High school and University of Colorado. He was a member of the Army Reserves. Rick was married to Christine Carman for 28 years and they had two wonderful children Robert (Rob) and Katherine (Katie) Carman. He was very active with his kids and their sports and activities. They lived in The Knolls in Littleton and made many wonderful lifelong friends. Rick employed many of Katy’s friends in high school. He was assistant coach with the Little Bombers under 18 girls' soccer team. In 2002 he married Liz Harrison, and they had 21 wonderful years together. He was a volunteer at the International Golf Tournament at Castle Pines for 20 years and traveled to other clubs to share his knowledge of Marshalling. He also volunteered at the Colorado Open and tournaments at Cherry Hills CC and other clubs in the state. He met several very special friends through that activity. He had a printing business for his adult life and never retired because he wanted to continue to call on his friends. He was the consummate sports fan with season tickets to the Denver Broncos since the 60’s and also season ticket holder for the University of Colorado, The Colorado Avalanche, some seasons with the Denver Nuggets and Du Hockey. He loved having a Super Bowl party every year. He was a faithful attendee at DJ’s sports and the grandchildren’s sports and plays. He loved playing Gin Rummy, Mexican Train, Dominoes with his friends and some Bridge with other couples. Rick loved his Silky Terriers and shared his chair and Malts with them. He will be deeply missed by all of us. May his spirit live forever! Ric’s Memorial will be held on October 24, 2023, at Pinehurst Country Club, 6265 W Quincy Ave, Denver, CO from 3-6PM.
