Lee Rae Corns

Lee Rae Corns passed away peacefully on December 12, 2023, at home with her granddaughter by her side. Lee was born in Fork, Minnesota on December 12, 1931, to Carl and Thyra Arness. Our mother’s greatest love in life was her family. She so loved being a mom, grandmother, and great grandmother and dedicated her life to being present and providing for all her family. Her house was full of love! There was hardly a time when her house wasn’t full of grandkids sleeping over and working on projects in the background, basement, and garage. Lee was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Highlands Ranch, CO. She was strong on faith and loved her church family. She was a devoted friend, often throwing parties to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and anything to bring family and friends together. She is survived by her sons Kevin (Carmelita), Greg (Tobi), and Gary (Alice), nine precious grandkids, Christina, Carl, Jenny, Eric, Adam, Kyle, Nick, Danielle, Courtney and sixteen great grandkids Craig, Jaxon, Hailey, Ava, Austin, Tate, Layla, Macklin, Ella, Ryder, Henry, Teddy, Elliot, Wesley, Kolby, and Brody. Lee is preceded in death by her husband Doug Corns and beloved daughter Karen Barenberg (Rod), and her brother Carl “Buz” Arness. Services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church located at 8997 South Broadway, Highlands Ranch, CO. 80129 on Saturday, January 13th at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, Mom would ask that you take the time to feed the squirrels.
