Andrew Pelosi, 94, passed away peacefully at his home in St. Petersburg, FL on March 19, 2023. Andrew was born in Italy in 1928 to Luigi and Pasqualina, and came to the United States at the age of 9, settling in Eastchester, New York. Following World War II, Andrew served in the Army stateside. In the early 1970s, he moved to St. Petersburg, FL, where he and his wife, Lorraine, founded the highly successful Gingerbread and Wellington Schools. Andrew, affectionately known as Andrew, Andy, Mr. Pelosi, Dad, and Grandpa Andy, loved golfing and bowling, and had a big heart. He always lent a helping hand to his children, relatives, and friends, on various projects even into his early 90s, and was cherished by all who knew him. Andrew is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lorraine, his six children, William Demarest, Susan Baraybar, Andrew Pelosi, Robert Demarest, Gina White, and Nicole Pelosi; a sister, Florence Johnson, a brother, Peter Pelosi was preceded in death, sixteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held on April 26th at 4:00pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 301 58th St S, St. Petersburg, FL 33707, followed by a celebration of life and a dinner at the Pelosi home.
