Sonia "Sara Rivka Bat Neshka V’Shlomo" Rita Rosenthal
March 24th, 1933 - June 4th, 2009
Sonia Rita Rosenthal, 76, of North Las Vegas passed away June 4, 2009. Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1933, she was an avid Dodgers fan. Sonia was a woman who was devoted to her family, her Judaism and her friends. As an avid reader, she organized the synagogue library in most communities in which she lived; moving often as the wife of an Air Force officer. As a member of Midbar Kodesh Temple, in addition to helping to organize the library, she was active in her chavurah and Hazak. Sonia is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Saul Rosenthal; daughters Michelle Rosenthal of Camarillo, CA and Martha (Len) Tenzer of Deerfield, IL; sons Jay Scott (Joan) Rosenthal of Vienna, VA and Harold (Sharon) Rosenthal of Camarillo, CA; Sister Barbara (Post) Askin and grandchildren Neil, Jennifer, Elizabeth and Victoria. Graveside services were held on Sunday, June 7 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations in Sonia's memory may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
