Barbara Edelstein

Barbara Edelstein, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 27, 2016. She was born March 2, 1930, in The Bronx, NY. Barbara was raised in New York and it is there she met and married her devoted husband Sam Edelstein. Together they moved to California and eventually Hacienda Heights, where they made a wonderful life together, raised their family, and had many close friends. After retirement Barbara and Sam relocated to Palm Desert and enjoyed 20 years in Sun City, getting involved in the community and making great friends. Last year they moved to Boulder City, NV to be closer to family. Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Sam, they would have been married 64 years on March 15th; brother Allen Steinfeld; devoted children, Mike and his wife Mary; Lynne and her husband Gary Muratore; grandchildren of whom she was so proud, Shelly Johnson and her husband Aaron, Julie Edelstein, and Jake Muratore; and great-grandchildren who brought her such joy, Ayden and Avner Johnson. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Catherine Steinfeld, and sisters Ginny Polk and Grace Klug. Services will be held at 12 noon, Friday, March 4, 2016, at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, NV. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a cause that is close to your heart.
