John Miller

Melbourne, FL — John Francis Miller, 93, passed away at 9:45 A.M. Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Wuesthoff Hospice House in Rockledge, FL. Born Dec. 3 1920 in Rush County Indiana, he was the son of John and Marcella (Coyne) Miller. He was married to Audrey Graeves ;she preceded him in death on July 3, 2012. John was born into the family of a Rush County farmer in Rushville, Indiana and was a graduate of Rushville High School, prior to being drafted into the Army during WWII. After his military tour he relocated to Silver Spring, MD and was employed at Safford Lincoln/Mercury. John had a great love for all types of sports. He leaves behind his daughter, Patricia Wood of Aurora, IL.; son, David (JoAnne) Miller of Elliott City, MD.; step-daughter Marie (Harry) Dean of Leesville, SC; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife Audrey he was preceded in death by brothers Richard and George, and step-son Richard Priddy. A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 25, 2014 at Beckman Williamson Funeral Home, Viera, Florida. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
