Simon "Simcha Ben Shalom" Rabin
June 28th, 1918 - November 2nd, 2010
Simon Rabin, age 92, a 25 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Simon was born June 28, 1918 in Detroit, MI to the late Samuel and Celia Rabinowitz. Simon served in the Army during World War II, then opened and operated H&S Trucking. Simon was a lover of sports, craps and bingo. He was a life member of Jewish War Veterans and a member of Greenspun Radin Post 21. Simon is survived by his wife Toby Rabin of Las Vegas; sons Alan (Peggy) Rabin of Canton MI and Scott (Rocio) Rabin of Las Vegas NV; grandchildren Jason (Lori) Trower and Jeff Trower of Canton MI; and great-grandchildren Christopher and Luke Trower of Canton MI. The funeral will be held at noon on Thursday, November 4 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, NV. Donations in Simon's memory may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119, www.nah.org.
