Gary Lee Shields, age 70, of Las Vegas passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Gary was born February 18, 1940 in Shelbyville, IN. He is the son of the late Joseph and the late Martha (McCarthy) Shields. Gary's family moved to West Los Angeles when he was seven. Gary was a carpenter and cabinet maker. Together with his wife, Ursula, they made a wonderful life, which included many loving family members. They moved to Las Vegas in 1997. Gary is survived by his wife Ursula Shields; children Cindy (Wayne) Christensen of Canoga Park CA, Donald (Sheryl D.) Shields of Wiemar CA, Collene (David) Sanderson of Las Vegas, Michelle (Bob) Beckner of Lancaster CA, Roxanne (Donald) Stewart of Lewiston ID and Evelyn (Jaime) Ramirez of Simi Valley CA; grandchildren Chris Christensen, Travis Sanderson, Alexander and Jesse Ramirez, Stephanie and Beau Shields, Mia and Corey Beckner, Kacey Strange, Ashely, Daisy, Jessica, Gerald and Angel Salazar; great grandson Brodie Shields; and sister Betty (Wylie) Rouse of Marysville CA. A memorial service and gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:30 am-12:30 pm on Saturday, November 13 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV.
