Benny, Dorothy H. DuVall Rockledge, Florida Mrs. Dorothy (Dot) H. Benny, age 95, born and raised in the Panama Canal Zone and formerly of Dothan, died Wednesday January 28th in Merritt Island, FL. A private family service will be held in Florida. Mrs. Benny was preceded in death by her husband William L. Benny. Mrs. Benny retired from the Panama Canal Company and moved to Dothan in 1977 where she volunteered at the Medical Center for over 25 years. She was a long time member of the Heritage Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations or remembrances be made to the Wiregrass Humane Society. Mrs. Benny is survived by her son William “Bill” Benny Jr., daughter in-law Patricia Bittel Benny, granddaughter Tricia Benny DeLatin, grandson Will Benny, great grandchildren Shelby Benny, Logan Benny, Laura Castille, Jonathan Castille, and niece Teresa DuVall Fritz.
