William Anderson
July 22nd, 1927 - February 10th, 2015
William Phillip Anderson William P “Bill” Anderson Winfield, West Virginia William P. “Bill” Anderson passed away February 10, 2015 after a brief illness in Melbourne, Florida. He was living with his twin brother Dr. Robert A. “Bob” Anderson of Rockledge Fl. for the last three years. He and his twin brother Bob were born on July 22, 1927 in Winfield, WV. Bill was 87 years old. He graduated from Winfield High School in 1945 and attended West Virginia University for two years and was drafted into the U.S. Army at the end of WWII. He served with the ordinance Division at Aberdeen, Md. He was honorably discharged and returned to WV to continue studies for a BA degree in Chemistry with Honors. After graduation he worked for BF Goodrich – Gulf Corporation at Institute. He returned to WVU to enter the school of Pharmacy and earned a degree in Pharmacology. He worked with Turner & Tanner Drugstore in Huntington WV and Trivilion Drug store in Charleston & Kanawha city for over twenty years. He was a member of sleepy hollow golf club and is a 50 year member of Kanawha Valley #36 Masonic Lodge, a Scottish Rite Mason and a 50 year Bene Keden Shrine Temple member. He was preceded in death of parents Jerome W. (Shorty) Anderson and Mae Aeiker Anderson. Sisters Helen Mitchell and Maxine Roberts; brothers, J.W. “Buddy” Anderson and Attorney John G. Anderson. Surviving brother, Dr. Robert A. Anderson and Eugene G. Anderson. He is also survived by eleven nephews & nieces who loved him dearly. Visitation will be on Friday February 20, 2015, 6-8 P.M. at Chapman Funeral Home in Winfield WV. A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 21, at 11:00 A.M. at Chapman Funeral Home in Winfield. There will be a Masonic graveside service following the memorial service in the Winfield Cemetery by the Kanawha Valley lodge #36.
