Virgie McCoy passed away at home in Cocoa Beach, FL on June 28, 2015 following a long illness. She was the youngest child of ten born to Mack Thomas (Hagan) Brewer and Maudie Brady Brewer in Delrose, TN in 1925. Virgie married Phillip Douglas McCoy in 1945 and they had three children. Virgie was preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, her husband Phillip Douglas McCoy, and her youngest daughter Phyllis Ann Boyd (Larry). She is survived by her daughters Linda Bradford (Bobby) and Connie Fichtl (Howard); two granddaughters Regina May (Tim) and Melissa Head (Alan); one step grandson Karl Fichtl (Shirley); nine great grandchildren Ryan Van Cleave (Tricia), Zac Head (Jaclyn), Katy Head, Brittney Van Cleave, Kelsey Head, Bobby Higgins, Halea Head, Kayla Head, and Cody Head; 3 step great grandchildren Laura, Clarissa and Kayla Fichtl, and numerous nieces and nephews. Virgie was a member of the Church of Christ Oceanside in Satellite Beach, FL. Funeral arrangements will be coordinated by Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach, FL and Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL. Funeral services and burial will take place in Huntsville, AL.
