John Edward Conway (1943 - 2015) of Cocoa Beach, FL. and Sandwich, MA. passed away peacefully on August 26, 2015, surrounded by his loved ones after a three year battle with mesothelioma. Born in Waterbury, CT., John attended Waterbury schools. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy retiring in 1980. He then pursued a career with Military Sealift Command as a Merchant Mariner a career that took him all over the world. John retired in 2005 as a Chief Engineer. He continued all the years of his life to remain on or close to the sea. John loved the Lord and his family dearly. He was the devoted husband of 44 years to Patricia (Keefe) Conway. Beloved father of David Conway and Lauren Conway and cherished Grandpa of Mia Conway. He was the son of the late Walter and Grace Conway. He leaves behind brothers Walter, Michael, and Richard Conway, sister Janet Conway and the late Susan Conway, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
