Terry L. Scott

SFC Terry Lee Scott (USA Ret) passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015, at the age of 70. He was born in Van, West Virginia to Ruth and Wilmer Scott. Terry retired from the Army after 20 years of service. He was stationed in many places including Japan, Viet Nam and Germany, where he enjoyed touring with family and friends. He also had 20 years of service at Kennedy Space Center, where he worked for Lockheed and United Space Alliance. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Wilmer Scott and his sister, Joann Roberts. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Rachel (Sanchez) Scott; his daughter Belinda (Don) Crouse; Son, Shane Scott; Grandson, Nicholas Moore; Brothers, Max Scott and Rex (Becky) Scott; and sisters, Marie Peterson and Nancy (Jim) Price; as well as many nieces and nephews. Prior to his illness, Terry was an avid golfer and enjoyed singing, especially songs by Johnny Cash. He always kept us laughing with his stories & jokes and would strike up a conversation with anyone he met. Visitation will be held from 5-6pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Beckman-Williamson Funeral home in Cocoa Beach. Services will follow at 6pm.
