Cecelia Yap Villaraiz

Cecelia Yap Villaraiz, 93, of Crestline, California, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018. Cecelia was born August 15, 1924 in the Philippines to a Chinese father & a Filipino mother. At a very young age, her parents passed away leaving her an orphan. She lived with relatives and raised herself. Cecelia spent her life as a homemaker, not only raising her children but also her grandchildren. She moved from the Philippines to the United States in 1991. Cecelia became a U.S citizen in 1995. Even recently she traveled between the United States and the Philippines every two years and between Las Vegas and California very frequently. She loved to sew and to cook. Cecelia was a very kind and loving mother and is survived by her sons Merlo (Evelyn) Villaraiz of Las Vegas and Oscar (Villa) Villaraiz of the Philippines; daughters-in-law Marivic Villaraiz of the Philippines and Bebing Villaraiz of the Philippines; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons Napoleon and Ike Villaraiz. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 10:00 AM – 10:55 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive, Las Vegas, NV.
