A. Edward Sandstrom
August 10th, 1927 - December 28th, 2015
Arthur Edward Sandstrom, 88, died Monday, December 28, 2015 in Burleson, Texas. Mr. Sandstrom was born August 10, 1927 in Boston, Massachusetts. He came to Brevard County from Orlando in 1958. He was a retired millwright from Pan American Airways and Johnson Controls at Cape Canaveral. He was a U. S. Coast Guard combat veteran of World War II. Mr. Sandstrom's twin sister, Edith Thompson and his wife, Gladys Sandstrom predeceased him. He is survived by his son, Robert Sandstrom; stepsons, Robert Wynn of North Carolina and William Wynn of Burleson, Texas; and Nephew, Arthur Edward Thompson of Santa Clara, California. Ed was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church of Merritt Island. He was also a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2373, Merritt Island, American Legion Post #22, Cocoa, and the Antique Automobile Club of America. Calling hours will be from 6 - 8pm Wednesday, January 6, 2015 at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am Thursday, January 7, 2015 at Grace United Methodist Church in Merritt Island. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice of Texas, 301 Medpark Circle, Burleson, TX 76028. You may sign Ed's guest book at www.beckman-williamson.com.
