Robert Fore

Robert (Bob) Chester Fore was born on November 1, 1951 in McHenry, Mississippi. This is where he attended grade school and then graduated from Stone High School in 1970. He then attended Mississippi State and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Robert dedicated his professional life to the US Government as a civil servant. His first position was at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS working as an Electronics Engineer. Then in 1985 he began work at Eglin Air Force Base as a Weapon System Engineering Cost Analyst. This is where he met the love of his life, Myra, and they were married on Feb. 18th, 1989 in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Soon following, he transferred to Patrick Air Force Base in Brevard, FL where he worked his way up to becoming the Executive Director of the 45th Space Wing/Eastern Range and was recognized as an expert in all facets of space launch activities. Following his retirement from the government in 2007, he continued working for government contractors such as SAIC, Boeing, and finally InDyne Corporation. Robert transitioned to the InDyne team in August of 2012 as a Corporate Executive. After working several years as a technical advisor to Range Systems Integration and Business Development opportunities, he assumed the position of InDyne’s Director of Operations for the Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance Services (IOMS) contract at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida in January of 2015. In this capacity, he directed the execution of all preventive maintenance, facility repair and specialized wharf operations to ensure maximum operational availability of critical mission essential infrastructure, facilities, systems and equipment in direct support of the 45th Space Wing’s role in supporting the United States space and missile programs. Robert was a quiet man of dignity unless, of course, he was riding his Harley! Family was paramount for him and he also enjoyed running, weight lifting and walking in Wickham Park. He loved watching movies with the girls – mostly of the Sci-Fi genre -- but the best ones were Aliens, Star Trek, Star Wars and The Terminator. He also enjoyed playing with Jennifer’s Border Collie, Calliope, and Sarah’s cat Luna – who was on his lap for coffee in the mornings. He is predeceased by his parents Chester Houston and Flossie Mae Fore; also his siblings Billy M. Fore and Doris Maxine Patton (husband Vernon). He is survived by his wife of 26 years Myra, daughters Sarah M. Fore and Jennifer N. Fore of Melbourne. He is also survived by his siblings Donald (Sharon) Fore, Elaine (Clyde) Garrison, Judy (Grover) Naramore, Nancy (Leroy) Taylor, Lois Fore, Gregg (Jeanine) Fore, and Jack Fore all of Mississippi. A Memorial Service will be held at Faith Viera Lutheran Church, 5550 Faith Dr., Viera, FL at 11 a.m. on June 18th, 2016. Following, all are invited to the Fellowship Hall for a time of remembrances, sharing with the family, and a light meal. Interment will be at a later date privately with family at Florida Memorial Gardens.
