Obituary for Ashley Dawn Combs October 23, 1976 – October 31, 2016 Ashley Dawn Combs was born October 23, 1976 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Patty Combs. She grew up and graduated from Pulaski Academy and went on to graduate from the University of Miami with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. She passed unexpectedly on October 31, 2016 at Florida Hospital while recovering from heart surgery. A congenital defect that others may have considered detrimental did not define her. She went on to overcome many obstacles in her life. She left the small town life for Miami, Florida where she majored in Aerospace Engineering. After graduation she went on to work for some of the major Aerospace development companies in the world, including Boeing, Northrup-Grumman, Lockheed-Martin, and her dream job working at United Space Alliance for the National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA). Ashley was living her dream working on the last 18 space shuttle launches until the program ended. Her understated confidence in life took her on many adventures. She loved her family, her friends, and loved learning. She is survived by her mother, Patty Combs, of Little Rock, AK, her God-parents Earnestine and Andrew Jones of Little Rock, AK, her aunt Peggy Vandiveer of Memphis, TN, her aunt Sandy Bonner of Hoxie, AK, her aunt and uncle Bobby and Sue Combs of Harrison, AK and many beloved cousins. Her celebration of life will be held at Beckmann-Williamson Funeral Home in Rockledge Florida on November 4, 2016 at 4pm. Dessert and coffee will be held at her home in Rockledge right after the service.
